At present our fees for non-grant funded children (under 3's) are £6 per 9:00 am - 12:00 pm session. This includes free milk and a snack everyday.
Lunch Club from 12:00 - 12:55 is optional and self funding and is therefore not covered by the government scheme. The fee is £2.00 per day to cover staffing costs. (A minimum of 7 children is necessary to make this facility viable.)
There is also an equipment and maintenance fund. A contribution on behalf of each child is requested. This is payable termly with the fees. The amount of such contribution will also be agreed at the Annual General Meeting. At present this is £6.
We are registered to receive government funding for children aged 3 and 4 years old. This means that once your child reaches the appropriate age their fees will be funded by the government.
Cambridgeshire County Council provide funds to educate children from the term after their third birthday. The funding covers a maximum of five 'two and a half hour sessions' per week for 38 weeks a year. Humpty's Pre-school sessions are 3 hours long, hence the last half an hour is not covered under the scheme. We charge parents £1.50 per session to cover the extra half hour.
Grant eligible children whose parents choose to use the grant elsewhere e.g. to pay the grant equivalent rate of £9.45 per session. This is to remove inequality between children who claim the grant and those who do not and is supported by the PLA and Early Years and Childcare Service.
Government funding is paid directly to Humpty's Pre-school.
